Kylie's collab with The Pet Shop Boys - great song, one of Kylie best collabs, one of the PSB's best 15-20 songs. But not a single.

Was it because Kylie's career was at its nadir in 1999? You think if this was done a few years latter it would have been a sure-fire hit?

Did the gay theme have anything to do with it not being a single?

Such an amazing song - I can not think of one valid reason why it wasn't chosen as a single!

I don't know the reason, but I think they released the right 3 singles off the album.

^^^ I disagree as for me New York City Boys is one of their worst songs ever. IMO the 2nd single should have been Closer To Heaven and Footsteps as a 4th.

Anyway back to In Denial. It was simply not good enough to release as a single. Plus it fails to work that well outside of the musical. Also would radio stations really have played a song about a daughter asking her gay dad to be more honest with himself and her?

What are you all on about, 'In Denial' is a total embarassment and it shouldn't have even made the album, better left on the musical.

They should have released

01. For Your Own Good
02. Happiness Is An Option
03. Drunk
04. Closer To Heaven

It's a great track but i'm not bothered that it wasn't a single.

The 3 singles were perfect :D Closer to Heaven would have been my choice for 4th :)

Slightly off topic but Screaming (b-side on IDKWYWBICGIA) is one of their best songs ever imo :D

I was so happy that she performed it on Showgirl, that was true art! What a shame that they removed it (and the whole section) for Showgirl Homecoming!

Singles should have been

1. I Don't Know What You Want But I Can't Give It Anymore
2. Closer To Heaven
3. You Only Tell Me You Love Me When You're Drunk
4. Footsteps
5. Vampires

Wasn't the song part of the pet shop boys musical, which would explain why it wasnt released plus its a very short song for a single. I love that album though - every song is ace
