Without trying to go off topic (on sayhay? Never!)

I do think its one of the things digital music, and buying track by track has totally ruined. No experimentation.

As you say, if I don't like these, I'll give them away, I've lost little, but there is just a chance I will LOVE it.

I still love the fun of being in a store, finding a cd I've never heard of and buying it simply because I like the look of it. Sure, I've bought some crap, but I've also found some of my best loved albums that way. The good stuff I've found FAR outweighs the bad.

Yes totally, I even bought that Songbook CD that way, liked the cover lol. Of course it can backfire, has done a few times.

I love quite a few of the albums by Emmylou Harris and have also enjoyed numerous 70s releases by Linda Ronstadt.

Linda has a gorgeous voice.

Yeah, I've ended up with a few really bad albums over the years, but at a guess I'd say 90% of the time I find something really interesting that I like, and a few that have become classic albums to me.

Today, ~I received the Carrie Underwood Greatest Hits cd in the mail - great packaging! I love it when artists put the single and album sleeves in the booklet of the hits compilation
