I think it was intentional, if only to retain their sound.

Right away, it sounds like something they did 40 years ago.

i don't think they ever used bass lines like that.. or at least it wasn't their signature sound. This song without the heavy bassline would have been soo much better and more true to their sound

Very underwhelmed with both the new songs. They were kinda damned if they didn't go with the traditional ABBA sound and damned if they tried to sound more modern. It's nice to see them back and all the buzz around them, but the new songs just aren't as good as their original stuff.
