The song was meant to premiere in Dec on a BBC show featuring the Abbatars.

It's not ready so the show has been postponed until early 2019.

ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus has updated fans on when fans can expect to hear new music the group have been working on.

The group revealed almost a year ago they had been back in the studio for the first time in over 35 years, working on music for the long-delayed ABBA avatar tour project. Two song titles have been confirmed, I Still Have Faith In You and Don't Shut Me Down.

Bjorn told Denmark’s Ekstra Bladet newspaper that fans can expect to hear a brand-new ABBA song "in September or October".

Discussing the upcoming avatar tour, Bjorn explained that "it takes an extremely long time” to perfect the avatars for the show, adding: "it has been delayed for too long."

A statement from the band last said their time in the studio together felt like "time had stood still and that we have only been away on a short holiday," adding that it had been "an extremely joyful experience."

Member Benny Andersson recently said legal problems had pushed back the tour and therefore new music. He also teased the possibility of a third new ABBA song - or possibly even an entire new album.

They should never release new music. Why tarnish a near perfect legacy?

How would you know if you haven't heard either of the new songs?

You should stick to believing Madonna can outsing Streisand and Dion, but leave the smart thinking to others.

Because they can never be as good as they were in the seventies.

Their better material was in the 80s anyway, so that already proves you wrong!

That’s just your opinion, my opinion still stands and that is that there 70’s output was superior to the limited output of the 80’s.

It looks like the Voulez Vous album, singles box set and picture disc singles will arrive before the new music. All due in June.

Bernard Lohr, the studio engineer said that I still have faith in you is one of the best songs they have ever done. Ingemarie Hallin (abbamuseum) heard them en said: Benny always writes top music but I was struck by the voices of Agnetha and Frida. They sing better as ever.
