Hmm.. interesting topic. As she is a "gold" artist.. yes you are only talking about up to 35,000 sales in Australia. So it's not an obsession promo the album there.. BUT.. When Kylie was MASSIVE.. You were talking about hundreds of thousands sold in Australia. Didn't light years sell 500,000 there?! Absolutely MASSIVE with that album and Fever obviously.. but yes.. If it's just "regular success" (i.e Gold cert).. it's not sich a big deal

I must also say.. we don't know strategies.. sometimes i think maybe it's on PURPOSE to give a bit of a break from overexposure with certain releases when they know it only has a "certain" market reach.. they can be happy with decent sales.. and maybe bombard Australia with another album promo?!.. some markets seem to be decided to give them a breather almost and then concentrate more with the next album?

500k in Australia.... no.. not really... it was U.K.

Anyway .. Promo should be done in Australia as well. It's her homecountry! She has a lot of fans there! And touring is also an objective....

I agree she should do more promo in South America especially Brasil and Mexico. Also Argentina. When she toured Buenos Aires there were like 25000 people attending the concert (X tour).

Uk, USA and Germany are essential.

Move on now to the next era, incorporate a disco section within that era’s tour..

I think the only reason why she did ever did promo here in the past is simply out of good will for the fans. Album sales were never massive here, and it’s always been a small market, so perhaps it was out of good will?

Now that you put it that way, that is true. Album sales were higher before. So doing promo back then was worth the results more.

These days, 35k is considered a success in aus but sell 35k in the UK, you be called a flop.

Perhaps, it’s not worth spending all that energy and time doing promo here which will never leave Aus shores and result in only extra 500 copies sold, all that after a long 23 hour flight?

Surely at this point a #1 is guaranteed in Aus no matter how much promo is done - may as well concentrate this in Europe and US where promo would actually attract more sales. @Aphrodite Lover I’m pretty sure you question Kylie’s choices to promote in Aus but the answer always comes to the same conclusion

I can't wait for this, if done right it could be another highlight of the era.
