Its not more bad than Aphrodite (which is simple and nothing special too).
What lacks KMO is a hit song.
We would see this album in another way if there would be a song that carried the album.
If I recall that time that 'fairy tales' would be the original concept (with a different album title and tracklisting), but Parlophone/Warner wanted to play safe with her. And didn't work it.Originally Posted by xsf

It probably needed a strong opening single like All The Lovers with Aphrodite, even though I still like Into The Blue, all in all I don't think the album is that terrible, apart from IWGC, definitely should have been cancelled.

KMO is such an underrated album...not bad at all as most of the fans claim.
Could have been better? yes
To me it sits in the holy trinity of K's misfortuned albums with LGTI and BL.
I think tons of sogns were recorded for this like X, Kylie herself said that she basically had 3 albums on the table...one more "classic" pop kylie, one "R&B" and one more experimental.
Then SIA helped her to choose the songs and Sexy Love made the tracklist.
Waitig for the Sun totally deserved a spot in the final tracklist
Pretty much what I do with playlist. Use the four Sleepwalker songs to replace the tacky ones. Shame they didn't have the balls to go with something a bit more alternative as it basically marred the whole era.

I don’t get the hype about Sleepwalker. The songs are not great. The other Garibay songs that came later were better. Were they all recorded at the same time?
I also thought Crystallize was a nice song. Was that a KMO reject or did she record it afterward?
Anyway my fave KMO songs are Fine and Kiss Me Once.
Well if the album had any songs worthy of hits it would already be a better album. As it turns out it didn’t.
I did not really understand why Timebomb and Skirt were not included on there. Both a lot better than many of the songs that made the cut.
Yes I know they’d already been out but even so they would have fit. Or they could have simply saved them.
