I am kind of happy but at the same time disgusted with the people that still make money from a dead woman....
JE ME CHANGERAI EN OR POUR QUE TU M'AIMES ENCORE
The single is so awful. I have no good hopes for the album.
they should stop messing with her legacy.
I mean what is left in the vaults at this stage that would be remotely worth a listen?
Pretty sure there are some nice songs left
I am happy is fans get Something
Maybe the last time
I'm never comfortable with releasing new music after an artist dies.
It's akin to greedy relatives sneaking in to mine the good stuff, leaving the crappy trinkets nobody wants behind.
Rarely is the material up to par.
In general, artists can leave great music behind when they die because it didn’t fit with the mood of the album they released, it was too personal for them to release, record company politics etc. I have no problem with them being released after they die. The Prince re-releases have had a huge number of amazing unreleased songs but he was really prolific.
Without the artist being around to talk about the music, do videos or perform it live, it’s always going to be difficult for anything that come out to be seen equally to the original music, especially when it’s decades later.
Aaliyah may have left some great songs but many were released shortly after she died. Given the poor lead single, I’m fearful there is nothing good left.
